If you walk through our schools, you’ll undoubtedly notice the joyful and caring community evident in our interactions and classrooms. We believe that’s because our tight community knows and supports each other on the way to becoming the best version of ourselves. Union Colony Schools teachers are dedicated to making learning personal and relevant to each student, supporting their educational journey from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Student-Centered Elementary School

Our small tuition-free schools provide the perfect setting for getting to know each other. When a child enrolls at Union Colony Elementary School, our teachers work to get to know that child’s interests, strengths and areas of improvement. Observations and assessments support teacher knowledge, helping to tailor instruction to each student.

We know every student has areas that need a little more attention. That’s why we incorporate daily What I Need (WIN) Time into our schedule. During WIN Time, students work independently, in small groups or 1:1 with a teacher on math or literacy skills that are personalized to their needs.

We also utilize an excellent model of English language learning to support students who are developing their written and oral English skills. As a public charter school, appropriate services for students with IEPs and 504s are offered, as well.

Personalized Learning in Middle and High School

We honor the strengths in each student by providing a broad curriculum that incorporates art, music, technology and physical education alongside standards based learning in core subjects and Colorado State Standards. Starting in middle school, our extensive offerings in art and music provide a chance for students to personalize their schedules, find a new passion and express themselves.

Our small size ensures that students build relationships with teachers and peers that serve a lifetime. We know that positive peer and adult relationships through these formative years are essential to success. Union Colony staff is dedicated to knowing each student who walks through our doors in order to meet each student where he/she is.

When it comes time to apply for colleges or make plans for post-high school, our counselors are here to support every step of the way. Every student has a personalized plan to meet their graduation goals and ensure that requirements are met, whether it’s attending college, or a technical school, our counselors are able to provide detailed support to help every student make the best choice.

Make the switch to personalized learning at Union Colony Schools. We want to get to know you. Enrollment for Fall 2023 is now open.
